darkenedspirit (Midgard_OBM) Un opus vraiment différent de la démo du titre éponyme Trefihrat, orienté dans un registre purement ambient, sombre et lugubre. L'atmosphère est noire, prégnante, les claviers transcendent de noirceur et respirent la mélancolie. A vrai dire on a plus affaire à du pur Dark Ambient bien nocturne et forestier qu'à du Black, mais ce changement soudain n'est pas de mauvaise augure quant à ce jet réellement obscur sublimé par un artwork simple, efficace et à l'ancienne.

Même les plus braves peuvent être frappés par le doute : la musique devient alors le nouveau guide, la catharsis salutaire. One Thousand Years Of The Wolf, seconde démo de Kommodus, est aussi belliqueux que la première. Si elle a été composée pendant une période d'angoisse et d'instabilité mentale, Lepidus Plague, au lieu de serrer les dents, hurle à gorge déployée ("Beyond Hadrian's Wall" est phénoménal pour ça). Les riffs sont impitoyables et ne concède pas de terrain. Bref mais excellent ! Jordan Vauvert
